03:12 min. in a loop
In “The cherry orchard” my family is performing an Eastern European ritual of sitting together before departure. My father whistles a waltz by Aram Khachaturian.
The second channel shows a different part of the room where the family was sitting. We can see the same window, only with a blooming cherry tree behind it.
Sound of singing birds comes from the window with the cherry tree.
If viewers stand in a certain spot in the middle between the 2 channels, the waltz and the bird singing collide into one.
